New Himalayan 450 – launch date, updates and supremacy

The new Himalayan 450 receives a pristine white colour, an all-digital instrument cluster, and spoked wheels with tubeless tyres (optional).

Everybody is eagerly waiting for the New Himalayan 450. There are so many spy shots and leaked images on social media and, recently, a video on YouTube. Himalayan 411, the outgoing model, was launched in 2016. Its capabilities at a low price point were the uniqueness of this motorcycle. Every rider’s eyes were on this motorcycle as it was from Royal Enfield. The usability and durability it offers off-road lovers made it a success.

In 2023, Royal Enfield is all set to launch the more capable new Himalayan 450 on November 7. The motorcycle still has the DNA of an off-roader, but many things have changed. What changes we know so far we will discuss in this article. And, I know all the bike riders are eagerly waiting for the new Himalayan 450.

New Himalayan 450 – New Engine, weight reduction

The New Himalayan 450, as the name suggests, equips a new liquid-cooled 452cc engine. As the capacity increases from 411 to 452, the power rises from 24hp to 40 hp! That is a giant leap forward. Not only is the power grown in the new Himalayan 450, but the good news is it’s also 3 kg lighter than the current Himalayan 411. So, the 40 hp means the bike is now faster, and the top speed figures will be higher. In other words, it will be a fantastic climber in the mountains for which it is crafted.

New Himalayan 450 – All digital Instrument cluster, new ‘Kamet white’ colour

A video on YouTube is going viral where a woman is riding the new Himalayan 450 in colour white. The channel’s name is Itchy Boots, and the rider’s name is Noraly Schoenmaker, a Dutch travel vlogger. She was riding a pre-production model of the new Himalayan 450 in colour white. She was riding a pre-production model of the new Himalayan 450 in colour white. The new colour’s name is ‘Kamet White.’ In the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, ‘Kamet’ is the second-highest mountain. The first is the Nanda Devi.

In the video, you can see an all-digital instrument cluster. You can manage calls and music through Bluetooth connectivity. Also, she is riding using the navigation system, and the display seems crisp and clear. Navigation benefits solo riders who often need help finding the correct path. People will admire this feature because this motorcycle aims to find new routes and explore the unknown, and its looks scream adventure.

New Spoked tubeless tyres

The new Himalayan 450 runs on spoke wheels in all the spy shots and YouTube videos. Another key point is that there are hardly any images of the new Himalayan 450 are with alloy wheels. These images raise concern among the buyers as tubed tyres will be a drawback.

But here’s the twist: observing closely, we discovered it uses side-laced or cross-laced spoked rims. That means that the spokes connect to the outer edge of the rim. These types of tyres are costly; usually, the more premium and bigger bikes like the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally or the BMW R 1250 GS use them. Also, Royal Enfield can give us an option by putting this tyre in the optional category. This option will be beneficial for both budget buyers as well as the top-end buyers of the new Himalayan 450.

That is all that we know so far. Rest we will learn everything about pricing and other things on November 7.
